Meet The Director

Chloe Dunlap

Chloe always knew that she wanted to work with children. As she became older, she knew teaching was her passion. She wanted to be the type of teacher that came to work because she loved it not just for a paycheck. She wants to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.

When she was a teenager she would babysit for family and friends as well as the children that lived on her street. She planned events like parents night out and would babysit children during the summer.

When she graduated from George A. Dondero High School in 2004 she wanted to give a year of her life to service.  She began working for the Americorp program called City Year Detroit. In this program she had the opportunity to work with children as well as service the community. She was honored to serve in this capacity. It gave her great joy to serve the city of Detroit. During her time at City Year she was asked the question What would life be like after city year?  She had to make a decision on what type of career she wanted. A requirement that she had to complete while working for City Year Detroit was to do a week long internship at her desired place of employment.  She chose to work at Eagles Nest Montessori because it was owned by a family friend and the job was teaching children. While working their she fell in love with the Montessori approach to learning.  Shortly after completing the internship she decided to seek enrollment in a Montessori program training center.

In June 2005 she graduated from City Year and the following week she started Montessori training at the Brookfield Montessori Teacher Acadamy, with the help of her grandfather the late Aaron Ramsey who believed in her dream of becoming a Montessori teacher and one day opening her own school . She completed her training in June 2007 recieving her Associate Early Childhood Certification from the American Montessori Society.

Upon her completion she returned to Eagles Nest Montessori, under the leadership of Kathy Sanders, from August 2007 until June 2013. There she worked as a teacher assistant, then co-instructed with Mrs. Kathy and was promtoted to Lead Teacher. Chloe learned so much from her mentor and friend. Mrs. Kathy instilled in her hard work, professionalism, confidence and the importance of the uncompromising value of guidance from a student to a teacher.

In 2013 Chloe knew that her season in Michigan was coming to a close. It was time for a change. She and her husband discussed and prayed about moving to Georgia. God opened the door and Chloe along with her husband and daughter relocated to Georgia. In June 2013 Chloe worked at two other Montessori schools in the Metro- Atlanta area.

Chloe knew that God had given her a vision to start a school.  With the help of her family and friends she began making her vision become a reality. In August 2015 Divine Love Montessori opened its doors. In 2018 Chloe and her former co- worker and now business partner Ms. Siromi linked up to take Divine Love Montessori to the next level. In Dec of 2018 Divine Love reopened its doors to the children of Henry County.

Chloe believes that you have to show love first and once love is planted learning comes naturally.
